Phi Phi Islands

We dedicated our entire 2nd day for an all-day tour of Phi Phi Island. We woke up to an absolutely beautiful weather, in contrast to the day before. Koice, who works with Kelly's Hotel, recommended us this tour company- Royal Andaman Sea Cruise. Basically, there are 2 types of tours- luxurious and low-cost. Those more luxurious ones usually more than THB 2000 and low-cost ones are only about THb 1300+. In the end we settled for the more luxurious one since she got us a good price of only THB 2000. And this tour was really "luxurious" indeed. Compared to those low-cost ones, this tour goes to few extra places, lesser people on board and nicer buffet lunch. They also had free flow drinks and fresh fruits on board.

In the morning, we were picked up on-time by a comfy, luxurious van. We we brought to some sort of private yacht club where we took our fins and snorkelling gears. There was free tea and coffee for us, while we sat on the porch waiting for other passengers to arrive. Nice~

There were 23 passengers that day and they used a 3-engine boat, which usually would accommodate 30 persons. Which means more space for us :) The ride was smooth mainly because of the beautiful weather which made the sea calm and also the stability of the speedboat. I didn't even need to use Minyak Cap Kapak or tablet maxolon, which I anticipated to use since I get seasick rather easy. The ride took about 45 minutes to reach our first stop- Maya Beach. IF the weather was still bad, a trip by ferry would be better; but that would take about 1 hour++ to reach to Phi Phi.

First stop- Maya Beach! Made famous because of the movie "The Beach". Beautiful place but there's just toooooo many ppl! We stopped here for about 30 minutes to take some photos.

Next stop: Pileh Lagoon for some swimming. Clear, calm water- perfect for swimming. We jumped down from the boat, right into the sea. Fun!

After swimming at Pileh Lagoon, they brought us to Viking Cave for so called "sightseeing". Stopped the boat there, snap some pics and after 2 minutes or so, we were on to the next stop. haha.

After that we headed to Monkey Beach. Nothing much there also, aside from monkeys and beach. Briefly stopped there and then headed to our snorkelling site- Hin Klang.

They claimed that Hin Klang is one of the "greatest coral reef in Southeast Asia". This was one of the reasons we chose this tour cos from not many tour companies make trips to this place. Oh, and before the trip I got myself an underwater casing for my S90- Dicapac Model 310. So loving it! Although I did have problem of vignetting. Other than that, the photos turned out quite clear.

Look! fishies!!

After snorkelling, we were brought to Phi Phi Natural Resort on Phi Phi Don for a buffet lunch. The restaurant was located by the beach and under shaded trees. We enjoyed our food and view to the max. Another great thing about this tour is that they don't rush us at all. We were given enough time to eat and relax... ahhh, nice~~

Our final stop was Bamboo Island. This is another place which does not have many tourists compared to other islands like Khai Island. We had about 2 hours here- to snorkel from the beach and relax on the beach.

Finished the entire tour about 4.30pm. All in all, a really nice "luxurious" and relaxing trip...

At night, we went for Phuket Fantasea show. We skipped the international buffet and just went for the show, which cost THB 1500. Quite expensive and the show was not really great but not bad either lah...

They confiscated cameras just before the show, hence limited photos in Fantasea.

Arrived back to our hotel about 11pm and headed to Bangla Road for nightlife :)
