Meet My New Baby

Meet my new baby- the Canon Powershot S90. Seriously, I was dreaming and wanting this camera the whole time before Professional exam and even during it. hehe. I was looking for a camera that was compact not a DSLR (bulky and becoming a tad too common) but still could shoot DSLR-like quality. I was thinking of Canon G10/11 at first which is the only prosumer camera I know at that time (prosumer=pro+consumer! aka semi-pro), but G11 was not compact at all. Then at the PC Fair, I was introduced to S90. Went home, did extensive research (in the midst of exam stress) and after reading numerous great reviews, I immediately wanted it.

"It's got the same spacious image sensor as the G11—1/1.7" as opposed to 1/2.5" like most point-and-shoots. But instead of being built into a Panzer tank, it's in the body of a hot German model. So cute right! haha, ok beginning to sound a bit too bimbo.

Ok, I'm not really doing a review here, so I won't be putting up or comparing specs (I don't know how to anyway). So now pretty much reading up on what is aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc etc and experimenting sepuasnya :).

Oh and at the time of researching I also came across this video:

So cute and keng! So, with my S90, I got myself a Gorillapod! Initially I was actually more excited about this than the camera. haha. Got it for only RM60 (online price is RM70) and in green (cos didnt have the original grey).

I put this on the dashboard and it didn't move! Well except for when making a sharp turn/U turn. Goes to show how well the rubber grip is. The "bendy" parts are also quite easy to bend and small in size.

So now... Can't wait for Bali!
